Yes. With effect from March 2020, it has been compulsory to have travel insurance to enter Thailand. In addition, you must have at least US $20,000 of COVID cover to enable a successful application for the Thailand Pass.

The policy must cover in-patient and out-patient treatment, medication, hospitalization, and emergency transportation (ambulance) and be valid for the entirety of your trip, including the day of travel.
